Time and place for the interview will, whenever possible, appear in the job description.
As regard vacancies in Denmark, interviews usually take place within the first 1 – 2 weeks after deadline for applications and as regards vacancies outside Denmark, interviews usually take place within the first 3 – 4 weeks after deadline for applications. However, there are exceptions to this rule; this is especially true for some of the vacancies outside Denmark; difficulties in scheduling the interviews can cause the process to be delayed.
Short-listed applicants, living outside Denmark, will usually have to conduct the first interview over the phone, and – if all goes well – subsequently be invited for a face-to-face in-depth interview either in Copenhagen or at the relevant field office.
Naturally, we will keep you informed about the selection process, possible changes and if there are delays of any kind.
The selection committee
The appropriate hiring coordinator or manager normally conducts the interview, typically assisted by 1 – 3 members of his or her staff, depending on the position in question.
Personality profiling
Personality profiling is one of the selection tools employed by Danish refugee Council. The profiles are used when recruiting for certain positions, usually management positions. Only top candidates will be profiled. The candidates fill in the profile over the internet before the interview.
The interview
You will get an impression of Danish Refugee Council, the department/programme and the job itself. The interview is an opportunity for you to ask questions and make sure that we can live up to your expectations. At the same time, we can access your qualifications in relation to the specific position and both parties can assess whether we are well-suited for each other.
