Danish Refugee Council

Use of personality profiles

Candidates for certain positions will be asked to fill out a personality profile prior to the interview. The personality profile is a tool that helps to make the interview more structured and the dialogue between the candidate and the interviewer more constructive.

These guidelines are meant as information to you as applicant about how Danish Refugee Council uses the personality profile.

PAPI-profile
We use the PAPI-profile that focuses on ordinary work-related needs and behaviour. It is not a psychological test but your own assessment of the needs and behaviour you see yourself having in relation to your job.

We use and regards the profile as a supplement to the existing information about the candidate, which, as a whole, ensures a better basis for the selection of a candidate. The profile is a tool for dialogue and never stands alone when we evaluate a candidate.

As applicant you are entitled to:

  • Know the purpose of the profile
  • Know how long we keep the profile
  • Know that the HR Advisor is qualified and certified to employ the profile
  • Know who will know of the profile result and how it is communicated
  • Receive thorough and relevant feedback on the profile result

We only keep profiles on candidates employed with us. All other profiles are destroyed after the interview.
