Among the things the DRC Stand-by Roster offers its members:
- Deployments to UN operations that matches your personal professional profile
- Professional development through trainings offered by DRC or the UN agencies
- A challenging work environment within the humanitarian field
- Information materials as handbooks and CD-Roms
Being a member of the DRC Stand-by Roster also implies accepting the following obligations:
- The member has an obligation to always inform the DRC Stand-by Roster unit of changes in contact details and availability. Hence, any longer periods of unavailability should be shared with the DRC Stand-by Roster.
- All members must reconfirm their membership of the DRC Stand-by Roster every six months. This is due to the requirements in the Danish Data Registration Act, which stipulates that CVs can only be filed for a period of six months.
- By accepting membership, one allows the DRC Stand-by Roster unit to forward P11 or CV to UN organisations at any time in relation to relevant positions without prior confirmation.
The DRC Stand-by Roster member also has to meet the following conditions:
- Participation in the DRC Stand-by Roster Induction Training (hosted twice a year)
- At least one positive response to a request for deployment within a two year period (whether or not the member was subsequently deployed)
- Accumulated at least three months in total of confirmed availability within a two year period
- Qualifications continuously match the demands of our UN partners for secondees
- Satisfactory performance during deployment
- Satisfactory completion of any training signed up for through the DRC Stand-by Roster
Based on the above the DRC Stand-by Roster has the right to exclude a member from the DRC Stand-by Roster.
