To UN Partners: How to request for a DRC secondment

The HQ of the UN Organisation must forward a written request to DRC Stand-by Roster Copenhagen, including Terms of Reference and other relevant information for the deployment in question.

DRC Stand-by Roster prefer to deploy experts for a minimum of 3 months, and will not be able to cover all expenses beyond a period of 6 months.

However, the UN partner can cover all expenses, or DRC and the UN partner can enter a cost sharing arrangement which will allow for the Roster Expert to extend the deployment beyond the 6 months.

Either way, DRC handles all formalities and practical issues related to the Secondment, including mobilisation, briefing, contacts, transportation to and from Duty Station, insurance, vaccinations etc.

DRC also undertakes the debriefing upon return from Duty Station. The UN Partner will be requested to forward a staff performance evaluation to DRC for the  purpose of learning from the experience and in order to further developing the Roster profiles.
