With support from DRC, Refugee Consortium of Kenya (RCK) compiled an instruction book “Refugee Protection Handbook” for law enforcement officers . The book has been formally adopted at the police training college in Kiganjo to inform the officers the importance of refugee protection and the Refugee Act.

Recognizing the need to create high standards of protection not only in legislation but also in practice, Refugee Consortium of Kenya has taken the initiative to sensitize police officers, immigration officers, the judiciary and refugees on critical elements of the law, with the aim of promoting new positive practices that reflect the spirit of the Act.
